1. We go in for the sonogram in 4 days! I hope we can tell if it’s a boy or a girl. I can’t wait to get serious about names. I am really excited about having the baby’s first picture!!
2. If anyone has insurance issues where they do not cover prenatal vitamins (like mine) or if you have to pay a large co pay.…Walgreens has a solution. It’s called the Prescription Savings Club. (there are several RXs on there…) It’s $20 for individuals and $35 for family and pets for a year. (I didn’t know pets could get prescriptions from Walgreens). Then, for a 90 supply it’s $12.99 each time you get it filled. For prenatal vitamins at GNC I was paying over $30 for a 60 day supply, and I have to take 2 honkin’ pills…and this RX is only one. Yay. And I know this is silly, but because it’s a RX, it makes me feel like it’s better for me than the OTC pills.
3. I love old people, but watching them eat grosses me out. Especially if they eat with their mouths open, which they normally do. And they have few teeth, so they are mashing the food and moving it all over the place with their tongues. Then, they try to talk while they have a mouth full of food and usually end up spitting it on my plate. I love the cuteness of old people, and some of their cute sayings…I just don’t like watching them eat. And I definitely don’t want to sit next to them at the table while I’m eating. I don’t mind helping them eat/feeding them if I need to, but I have to have eaten before because the spitting and mashing is gross. I think a lot of them were not taught to eat with their mouths closed. It’s one of my pet peeves, especially on normal aged adults and children that should know better.
4. I haven’t posted lately…I haven’t really had a lot to talk about. However, I am now working PT for RISD. I’m not getting paid much (at all) but it keeps me busy and my hours are flexible which is perfect for me. It makes the weeks go by faster and I don’t sit at home reading scary stories about babies or delivery on the internet. I'm loving all the different personalities of my coworkers too. It makes me miss a real job.
5. We have friends coming in this weekend. I’m so excited! We haven’t seen friends in forever. Josh and Courtney are so much fun. And, I love it that they are married and that Courtney and I are both so much alike. It’s hard to find friends where the spouses are all compatible. It’ll be good for Luke too. He’s been working a lot lately, so it’ll be fun for him to unwind. I think he and Josh plan on going fishing Saturday morning. I’m sure Luke will love flying across the lake without his nagging wife telling him to slow down because he’s rattling the baby around. We went out last weekend…I got sunburned…even with wearing sunscreen (which I rarely do). Obviously, my hormones have changed my sun tolerance, but now, it’s tanning up. Finally some color in my pale skin. Being tan makes me feel prettier and not as fat. Even when I wasn’t pregnant…I always figure, tan fat is better than white fat. I think it makes me look skinnier and I definitely feel more confident. But, I don’t want to get the blotchy spots that most people get while pregnant (and tanning makes it worse) so I lathered on the sunscreen, I just need to reapply more often. Lesson learned.
6. I have to go finish cleaning so Josh and Courtney don’t think we are slobs. How come when you’re having guests over you start to realize things that are filthy that you’ve never noticed before? (for example, my microwave had splatters inside it, or dust on the baseboards in the room they are going to sleep in). I guess it’s a good excuse to clean those things. It opens my eyes to new things I don’t usually pay attention to. That is all.

i hate watching old people eat too. even watching MY parents sometimes grosses me out. how horrible is that?! i agree....i think long ago people weren't taught to eat with their mouths closed and our generation is much better at that.
i got burned too this weekend...BAD. I put stuff on but it looks like i didn't at ALL. how stupid am i to not know that being pregnant might make a difference as to how much sun i'll get. i'm oblivious. i didn't get any splotches, but i DID get a horrible tan line across my cheeks because my sunglasses are pretty big and cover about 1/3 of my face. oh well...
ew.. just reading about the old people made me smell their bad breath and see their mouths chewing...*chills*... they ALWAYS seem to have bad breath too... don't they? it's like their too old to care. I'm not gonna tan this summer. I'm gonna put on fake tanning stuff and call it good. I'm too busy to go outside. i work in a dark hole everyday.
